COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

Ever wondered what it truly means to integrate into a community? At Community Employment Services (CES), we’re all about creating spaces where individuals with disabilities not only interact but thrive alongside their non-disabled peers. Picture this: working side by side, learning together, and growing as a team.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to foster community integration for everyone in the workforce while providing meaningful paid employment opportunities. How do we do it? Well, let me tell you about our approach.

Imagine having a personal coach cheering you on every step of the way. That’s what our job coaches do. They work closely with CES trainees, helping them master the necessary skills and behaviors to navigate the workplace independently. And guess what? The journey doesn’t end there. As our trainees grow in confidence and capability, they have the chance to explore competitive integrated employment if they so desire.

Now, let’s talk about our exciting new training program. We’ve revamped our model to make it even more dynamic and effective. Picture this: three hours of hands-on, paid work training, coupled with three hours of engaging “classroom” sessions. It’s the perfect blend of practical skills and those oh-so-important “soft skills” like communication and workplace etiquette. This way, we’re not just preparing individuals for the job market; we’re equipping them to thrive in it.

But wait, there’s more! With this new approach, we’re doubling our capacity to serve. Yes, you heard that right. Twice as many individuals will now have access to our transformative programs.

So, how do we make all of this happen?

It’s all about strategy:

First up, we identify the unique training needs of each individual and the industries they’re interested in. Then, we craft a tailor-made curriculum that combines real-world experience with classroom learning. But we don’t stop there. We forge partnerships with local businesses, experts, and educational institutions to ensure our training stays relevant and up-to-date. And of course, we provide top-notch facilities and continuous evaluation to ensure our trainees reach their full potential.

In CES, it’s not just about finding a job; it’s about finding a place where everyone belongs and thrives. Join us on this journey of empowerment and inclusion. Let’s build a community where everyone has the opportunity to shine!

COMPETITIVE INTEGRATED EMPLOYMENT

Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) is not just a program; it’s a pathway to a brighter, more inclusive future.

Picture this: individuals with developmental disabilities stepping into the workforce with confidence, armed with the specific job skills they need to thrive. That’s the magic of integrated employment. We’re not just training; we’re empowering. Because we believe that everyone deserves a fair shot at success in the workplace. But here’s the thing: integrated employment isn’t just a checkbox on our list. It’s a lifeline for many in the communities we serve. We’re talking about individuals who’ve already proven their worth, and who’ve shown their dedication through stellar work histories. And guess what? We’re here to match them with the perfect job fit. But we don’t stop there. Oh no, we’re in it for the long haul. With frequent job coaching support during those crucial first 90 days, and ongoing coaching for as long as our clients remain employed, we’re there every step of the way. Because success isn’t just about landing the job; it’s about keeping it, thriving in it, and growing from it.

Community Integrated Employment represents the future:

  • Although other wonderful programs in our area work with our clientele, the majority focus on adult day programs (such as our Life Skills Living Center).

  • Even though these are very much needed, very few resources exist for job training specifically around soft skills.

  • No other opportunities in Tulare County exist that focus on actual job placement.

Our mission is to integrate people with disabilities into the community by creating person-centered opportunities for empowerment, independence, and employment.
